My (not so very) secret Blog!

This Blog will take the place of my Diary, but as everything on the site is exchanged and made bigger better and more beautiful, why not expand and go all out Blog?I hope You will still enjoy the reading, and maybe even comment on what I write. I'm sorry for taking away the old Diary entries, but that was not worth reading anyway! ;-)

My day in Breda

I realized sitting down in a cafe after three hours shopping that it was getting closer to three o'clock and meeting Karel. My phone was beeping and I thought it was an SMS but in fact it was the power failing. I hurried to send the message but the phone shut down before it was sent.
I was running around Breda for 20 minutes and didnt find one single payphone! Then I realized I should take my card out of my phone and try tp put it in someone elses phone but the cause seemed invain since no one I asked "had a phone". I turned to desperate measures and went into a phone shop!
I picked the one chain I bought my phone from and told him my problem, so I put my card in a brand new siemens only to realize that numbers are stored in the phone and not on the SIM card. I was prepared to go home to Friesland without meeting Karel when the brand new siemens started to ring, and guess who it was.
Apparently he had recieved the SMS but only a part of it so he had left his meeting early and was now at the baroness where I had written my message.
Talk about little lady luck, with a bit of resourse ;-)

We played pool, I won 2 out of 6 but I think we decided I had won. :-9
In the usual female vanity I wanted to look good and not comfortable, (and I had some issues with him being so tall) so I took heels, something I regreted when we walked around town.
Then we ate in an Italian restaurant with a terrible waitress. But at least it was good food.

We walked back to the station and I of course forgot to call my mum from his phone.
So on the train I realized this misstake and got out my SIM card again. I had to ask 12 people who all had one excuse or another (mostly drawn out of thin air) before I could lend someones phone.
She was a bit older then my mum, maybe 48 or so, and had a daughter of her own, so I guess she could understand.

The train got delayed ten minutes along the way and I missed my connection, and hence missed the buss. Mum was prepared to let me walk home from the train just to teach a lesson to the NS, but I really hope she was joking about that.
I went home, talked a bit on the phone with Karel as to get a closeure of the day and date and then I crashed only to wake up late for getting Yohannes to school!
Then I crashed again. ;-)
